Business Book Review: 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership Workbook: Revised and Updated by John C. Maxwell
‘Irrefutable’ indeed. Among today’s noise, this book remains timeless. Maxwell’s tremendously concise, yet as remarkable laws are refreshing. It’s the foundation of leadership.

Applying the book to personal branding
Maxwell’s Law of Influence states:
The True Measure of Leadership Is Influence. Nothing More, Nothing Less
I applied this to our modern digital age.
This era grants unfathomable opportunities to those who may not otherwise have them. For others - perhaps you’re one, there’s a seemingly insurmountable inability to embrace it. I was one of them.
Even as a marketer, digital activity that didn’t hide behind a corporate brand was unnerving.
I now realise it’s simply the Law of Influence at play in leadership - either choose to follow or lead.

My Papa was a wonderful leader and reader. Preferring other genres, he didn’t indulge as much in business books. Yet, I found an original copy of the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership on his bookshelf. A sign Maxwell’s book must have been essential for him. I see why.
Every so often you find a must-read. A rare few times, you find a book that immediately earns re-read status. For years to come, this book is that.
